In addition to tools for network optimization, security, and parental controls, the
moto
sync app offers advanced settings that can be accessed by tapping the
Settings
tab found at the bottom right of the screen.
Set WAN Static IP
The Motorola MH7601 defaults to a DHCP connection. The ability to set a static IP is under the Advanced setup options in the Settings tab of the moto sync app. Your device will be required to reboot in order for the change to the WAN IP to take effect.
Please note: this feature is recommended when your ISP has provided you with an assigned static IP address. If you are unsure whether you have a static IP address for your internet connection, we recommend contacting your ISP.
