How to change the admin login password for the Motorola MR2600:
To change the MR2600's password, first login to the Configuration Manager.
Open an Internet browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your browser.
Enter the password. The default password is: motorola
Click the LOGIN button
Click the Admin tab, then Password
The following page appears:
Enter your new password and click the SAVE button to change your password.
CAUTION: Once you make this change, you will not be able to login to the router if you forget the new password. To recover, you will have to reset the router to factory defaults.
When you reset the device to factory defaults, you will lose all changes you made to the modem. However, the password will revert back to the default password of motorola.
